About us
florencecards.com is an independent comparison of the passes for Florence. The products competing for the same visitor are the Florence City Pass and the Florence Flex Pass by Turbopass GmbH, the Florence Pass and the Uffizi & Accademia Pass from Tiqets International B.V., the Brunelleschi Pass issued by the Opera di Santa Maria del Fiore for the monuments of the Piazza del Duomo, and the Firenzecard, the museum pass of the Comune di Firenze. The site is published by Cruise Media GmbH.
Florence splits its passes along a line that runs through the middle of the city. On one side stand the museums, with the Uffizi Gallery and the Accademia Gallery at their head and the city's own circuit reaching from Palazzo Vecchio to the Boboli Gardens. On the other stands the Piazza del Duomo, where the dome, Giotto's bell tower, the Baptistery, Santa Reparata and the cathedral museum are sold by their own issuer and by nobody else, while the cathedral is free to enter. No pass crosses that line, and none of them carries the bus or the tram. The passes are therefore sorted here by the questions that decide a visit: what is included, how validity is counted in days, calendar days or hours, who reserves the compulsory time slots for the Uffizi, the Accademia and the dome, and what happens when a plan changes.
The single ticket is searched for more often than any pass, so the site says plainly when no pass pays off: for a visit built around the Uffizi alone, for visitors under 18, who enter the state museums free, and for EU citizens aged 18 to 25, who pay a reduced gate rate. The same holds on the first Sunday of every month, when the state museums admit everyone without charge and without a reservation.
What this site covers
The subject is the pass: what it contains, which time slots come with it, how the museum circuit of the city relates to the monuments of the Opera del Duomo, and how the products compare. Florence as a destination, its hotels, restaurants and day trips belong elsewhere. Every purchase is completed with the issuer, through Turbopass, Tiqets or GetYourGuide, and their prices, availability and conditions apply.
