Weighing it up

What speaks against the Uffizi & Accademia Pass, and who it is for

Against it: the pass is two museums and nothing else. Brunelleschi's dome is not in it, nor Palazzo Vecchio, the Pitti Palace, the Bargello, a bus or public transport. Both galleries close on Mondays, so a short city break has to be planned around that, and the good morning time slots in high season go early. Nothing is refunded once booked. Visitors under 18 enter the state museums free anyway, so for a family the pass really only covers the adults, and the audio guide runs in an app, which means headphones and a charged phone.

For whom: visitors with one or two days in Florence who want exactly these two galleries, the Botticellis and Michelangelo's David, with both entries settled before arrival and without paying for a wider circuit they will not use.

Alternatives: if the climb to the dome is on your list, only the Brunelleschi Pass opens it. For the wider museum circuit with Palazzo Vecchio, the Pitti Palace and the Bargello, the Firenzecard is the broader card, while the Florence City Pass reserves the same two galleries and adds a guided city tour. The comparison sets all of them side by side, the prices page shows the ladders, and the attractions page lists which pass opens which door. Still choosing? The overview of the Florence passes is the shorter route.

FAQ

Questions about the combined pass

Short answers for these two galleries, everything else on the FAQ page.

Is Brunelleschi's dome included? +

No. The dome, the Baptistery, Giotto's bell tower and the Opera del Duomo Museum are sold only by the Opera del Duomo. The Brunelleschi Pass is the ticket for them; this pass stays with the two galleries.

Do children need their own pass? +

Visitors under 18 enter the Uffizi Gallery and the Accademia Gallery free, so the pass is made for the adults in a group. EU citizens aged 18 to 25 pay a token fee at the door of both galleries.

Can I get my money back if my plans change? +

No. Both entries are reserved for you and the package is sold without a refund option, so book it once your dates are firm. For one gallery alone the single Uffizi ticket is the smaller step.
