Buying and using

How the Flex Pass works

Buy the number of attractions, receive the pass by e-mail, decide in Florence.

  1. 1

Pick a number, not the sights

Choose how many attractions you want, from two to seven, and the number of visitors. Which sights you visit is decided later.
  2. 2

    Receive it by e-mail

The pass arrives as a digital pass with a QR code and a reservation tool. Uffizi and Accademia time slots are reserved through it, many other sights need no booking.
  3. 3

    Use it within 30 days

The pass starts with your first visit and runs 30 days from there. Each attraction counts once, and every traveller in a group can pick different ones.

Weighing it up

What speaks against the Flex Pass, and who it is for

Against it: two choices are the minimum, so if the Uffizi is your only goal, the single ticket is the cheaper way in. The Uffizi and the Accademia still need a time slot, which you reserve yourself through the pass tool rather than having it done at purchase as with the Florence City Pass. Brunelleschi's dome and the rest of the Duomo complex are not on the list, public transport is not part of the pass, and the hop-on hop-off bus is one of your choices rather than an extra on top.

For whom: visitors with a short list and open dates, a second visit to Florence, or a group whose members want different things: one picks the two galleries, another the bike tour and the bus. The 30-day window suits a trip with a day out to Siena or the Chianti in the middle.

Alternatives: if you want the whole list on consecutive days, the Florence City Pass from the same issuer includes everything at once with the two gallery slots reserved for you. For museum days across the city's own circuit, the Firenzecard runs 72 hours. The comparison puts all passes side by side, the attractions page lists which pass opens which house, and the prices page shows the ladder by number of picks.

FAQ

Questions about the Flex Pass

Short answers for this pass, everything else on the FAQ page.

Do I have to choose my attractions when I buy? +

No. You only choose how many, from two to seven. The sights themselves you pick later, and time slots for the Uffizi and the Accademia are reserved through the pass tool. Everyone in a group can choose differently.

How long is the pass valid? +

For 30 days from your first visit, not from the purchase date. A day without sightseeing costs you nothing, unlike the consecutive days of the Florence City Pass.

Is the dome or the Duomo complex one of the choices? +

No. Brunelleschi's dome, the Baptistery, the bell tower and the Opera del Duomo Museum are sold only with the Brunelleschi Pass of the Opera del Duomo. Which sights the Flex Pass covers is listed on the attractions page.
