Reserved entrance with an audio guide. The booking above gives you a time slot at the Uffizi Gallery and an audio guide in an app, which walks you through the Botticelli rooms, the Tribuna and the Caravaggios. It is the shortest route if the gallery is your only goal, and it needs nothing more than an ID, a charged phone and headphones.

Guided tour with entry. A licensed guide takes a small group through the corridors in about two hours. Worth it if you want the quarrels of the Medici and the story behind the Birth of Venus rather than a floor plan, and it settles the time slot for you.

Uffizi and Accademia together. The two big galleries can be booked in one step, with reserved entry and an audio guide app for each. That is the usual pairing for a first visit, since Michelangelo's David stands in the Accademia Gallery and not here.

Timed entry, and a name on the ticket

The Uffizi admits visitors in time slots only, with or without a pass, and every ticket is issued to a name, so bring an ID that matches it. The gallery is closed on Mondays and opens from 8:15 to 18:30, with the last entry well before closing. Time slots for the late morning in high season go first; the first hour of the day and the last two before closing are the calmer windows.

What the ticket office charges

The regular adult price at the official Uffizi ticket office is EUR 25 for a same-day named ticket and EUR 29 when booked ahead, which includes the reservation fee. Entry from 16:00 costs EUR 16, a rule in force since 1 January 2026. EU citizens aged 18 to 25 pay EUR 2, visitors under 18 enter free, and the first Sunday of every month is free for everyone, with no reservation taken on those days. Tickets are named and not refundable. The gallery also sells an official PassePartout valid five days that adds the Pitti Palace and the Boboli Gardens.

Or a pass after all?

Four Florence passes contain the Uffizi. The Uffizi & Accademia Pass puts the two galleries in one booking with a slot for each. The Florence City Pass reserves both slots at purchase and adds a guided city tour, a bike tour and a row of smaller museums. The Florence Pass pairs the gallery with the Accademia and a cathedral module at fixed time slots. The city's Firenzecard carries the Uffizi inside its museum circuit and books the slot free in its app. The comparison shows the full picture, and the prices page the ladders.

FAQ

Questions about Uffizi tickets

Short answers on slots, closing days and free entry, everything else on the FAQ page.

Do I need to book a time slot? +

Yes. Entry to the Uffizi Gallery is timed for everyone, pass or no pass. The ticket above is booked for a day and an hour; arrive inside that window with an ID, as the ticket is named and void once the time slot has passed.

Is the Uffizi open on Mondays? +

No. The gallery closes on Mondays, and so do the Accademia Gallery and the Pitti Palace. Opening on the other days runs from 8:15 to 18:30, with the last entry well before closing time.

Who enters the Uffizi free? +

Visitors under 18 enter free, EU citizens aged 18 to 25 pay EUR 2, and the first Sunday of every month is free for everyone, with no reservation taken on those days. Free days fill up early and a pass rarely pays off for anyone in these groups.

Which passes include the Uffizi? +

The Florence City Pass and the Uffizi & Accademia Pass reserve the time slot at purchase, the Florence Pass fixes it at booking, and the Firenzecard books it free in its app.
